Deutsch: Vor 20 Jahren wurde das Label Mille Plateaux gegründet, das bis heute als eine der einflussreichsten Plattformen für experimentelle elektronische Musik gilt. Das in Frankfurt am Main beheimatete Label war Teil einer von Achim Szepanski gegründeten Label-Gruppe und wurde von ihm mit Diskursmasse aus Deleuzes und Guattaris gleichnamigem Werk angereichert. Nach dem Untergang seines Label-Universums schrieb Szepanski eine über 20.000 Seiten strake, selbstverlegte Roman-Trilogie, die sich stark an David Foster Wallaces Unendlichem Spaß orientierte. Danach verschob Szepanski seinen Fokus wieder auf die Theorie und setzt sich in zwei kürzlich erschienen Bänden mir Marx’ Begriff der Non-Ökonomie auseinander.
English: 20 years ago the label Mille Plateaux was founded. Today it is still considered to be one of the most influential platforms for experimental electronic music. The Frankfurt/Main based label was part of a label group founded by Achim Szepanski and was informed by philosophers Deleuze and Guattari's work of the same name. After its bankruptcy Szepanski wrote a 20,000-page long, self-published novel trilogy, which is strongly influenced by "Infinite Jest" author David Foster Wallace . In 2014 Szepanski shifted his focus back to theory and in two recent volumes published by Laika Verlag he explores Marx's concept of non-economics.
